ICFP 2008 : The 13th ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Functional Programming

ICFP 2008 provides a forum for researchers and
developers to hear about the latest work on the design,
implementations, principles, and uses of functional programming. The
conference covers the entire spectrum of work, from practice to
theory, including its peripheries.
ICFP 2009 takes place in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 31 — September 2, 2009.

- Registration for ICFP 2008 is now open -- Early registration deadline: August 20, 2008 (expired); Late registration deadline: September 22, 2008
- Conference and workshop registrations includes proceedings, continental breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch for respective days.
- There is no conference banquet (but there is a conference reception (Tuesday, September 23, 19:00)).
- ACM discounted rates for conference hotel accommodations (Delta Victoria) -- Deadline: August 24, 2008 (expired)
- If booking through the conference hotel site does not show
availablility for specific dates at the ACM discounted rate,
please contact the hotel by phone. There appear to be significant
limitations regarding the bookings that can be made through the
conference hotel site.
- ACM membership is not required for ACM discount rate.
- Rates on the conference hotel site are reported in Canadian dollars.
- The ACM does not issue formal invitation letters for visas. However, the ACM can issue a visa support letter. Please send all requests to Laura Bucci (bucci@hq.acm.org) with the following information:
- Name as it appears on your passport
- Residence and a ship-to address if different
- The name of the conference you wish to attend
- Registration confirmation number
- If you have any papers accepted for the conference, please indicate whether you are the sole author or a co-author, and provide the full title of the document
- Fax number (Visa support letters are not issued via email)
- The SIGPLAN Professional Activities Committee offers grants to help defray the cost of attending ICFP
- Student members: available to student members with a paper
- Companion travel grant: available to professional members with physical disabilities or small children
